And now, yes, FINALLY, without further ado... it's the grand opening of Trounce Alley Gallery, at 616 Trounce Alley in sunny downtown Victoria, BC. This "happening" will take place on Thursday, February 4th, starting at 4:30 and running till late. The gallery will by then be featuring the works of Timothy Wilson Hoey, Jean Paul X Langlois, Shawn O'Keefe, Landon Peters, Stéphanie Prest, and myself.
...you can see how empty it looks right now... devoid of people partying. I'm hoping that we can change all that on February 4th. Come, bring your friends, and peruse some art.
I read a David Bowie interview today from the New York Times, June 14th 1998 where he said, "Art was, seriously, the only thing I'd ever wanted to own. It has always been for me a stable nourishment". If you've never purchased art you might not know what that means; if you own art you most definitely know the nourishment of which he speaks.
COME ON DOWN TO THE OPENING!
