Jill Margo is a talented writer and all-around great gal who lives in Toronto. She has a "mini-mag" that you can receive each Wednesday if you so choose, and I would recommend it because I've enjoyed each one. In her own words, "you'll get three pithy, but juicy columns in each issue that are from a rotating series. The format is simple—just text, a few images and some links that are meant to be entertaining, interesting or useful." It's true- very entertaining, very interesting. And they're MINI mags... do you hear me? MINI. They won't be one-more-thing-in-your-inbox-that-you-have-to-deal-with, or one more thing you have to delete with great guilt because you know you'll never have time to read it. ALSO! The last one features an interview with me! SO COME ON, PEOPLE! LET'S DO THIS THING!
The interview avec moi:
MY BRIGHT FRIENDS // B.A. Lampman

I can see it being both transformative and galvanizing for people (artist or not) to look for images that speak to them, then create something that is imbued with personal significance, almost like a totem or religious icon.
ONCE AGAIN... if you'd like to see the rest of this issue, and receive Jill's Mini-Mag on a regular basis: http://tinyletter.com/jillmargo
